That's the wrong cursor. You should be seeing the "I-Beam" cursor when you're selecting timeline work.

Re: Latency test does not record click track
Screen Shot 2017-07-20 at 11.16.17.png This is the graphic version of how to do this. You play the backing or rhythm track into your headphones (I know these aren't headphones, but work with me here). Your microphone picks up the backing track sound and feeds it back into the computer to a new trac...

Re: Latency test does not record click track

The latency test means you create a click or other rhythm track and then play that in overdubbing with your headphones jammed against the microphone. The latency correction is the difference between the two tracks. Has your microphone ever worked with the new system?

Focusrite also makes the Scarlett Solo, which *I believe* naturally mounts mono instead of stereo which wouldn't do that. Scarlett may also provide a driver which can fix that with the 2i2.

Re: Unable to use Blue Yeti Pro Microphone for rec and audio
I'm curious why you bought a Yeti Pro. You did, right? You didn't buy a "Pro Yeti." Those are very different. Does it have an XLR male connector on its butt? The Pro model is recommended because it's a nice microphone and less likely to have the Frying Mosquitoes USB noise problem common t...

Re: "Audacity is already running" Error
Did you cold restart? Windows leaves pieces of itself running if you do a normal restart.rebooted about 3 times.
Do a clean start from Shift-Shutdown.

Re: "Audacity is already running" Error
When you reinstalled Audacity, did you check the place that says Reset Preferences and Settings? That may not help, but plain installing Audacity does not do a global reset. First one of these I've seen on Windows. It comes up every so often on Macs by getting a lock file stuck. But I don't know how...
