Can you find anywhere that it says FFMpeg supports Opus? FFMpeg is the software helper that Audacity uses for sound format extensions. If it throws up its little hands and gives up, then there may be no support.

Do you get an error when you open them in Audacity? Are they the right duration but just silent?
