Yes I do have audio IN audacity when I re-import the file. I get a file and the file doesn't play any audio, but it does have a time and will "play through" the file with no sound, on any other medium that I've tried IE groove music and Scorpbot I read that four times...... You make audio...

Do you have Audacity set for overdubbing? Probably not a good idea.

Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Recording: [_] Overdubbing (de-select)

You can Stop Audacity and start recording again on the same line with Shift-R. Let us know if that fails.

Audacity can be misleading. As an UNDO, Audacity keeps complete copies of the work, as many as needed to make sure you can back up successfully to earlier versions of the show. That gets big in a hurry and if you never close Audacity, they stick around and get bigger...and bigger.
