Re: Remove Sound Effects

Do you mean the toy whistle, siren and other cheap effects tones overlaying the song? good ways to remove the sound effects I don't know of any ways to remove them. We can't split up a performance into individual voices, instruments or sounds, and that's what you need to do to delete some without af...

Re: ACX requirement hell - seesawing between -3 Peak and -23

I posted a private message (PM). A note about Noise Reduction: Mastering 4 is designed to keep you sounding normal and natural even though it's doing all the heavy lifting of horsing your voice into compliance. But you can still get into trouble with too much Noise Reduction. ACX has a failure of Ex...

Also note the the DVDDoug process is different from Mastering 4, and you shouldn't cross them.

Re: ACX requirement hell - seesawing between -3 Peak and -23

Please note this will only get you past technical compliance. If you can't read out loud, then we can't help you. ACX has a separate test for that.

Re: ACX requirement hell - seesawing between -3 Peak and -23

Isn't that the most fun?

We published a technique to help with that. It uses some custom tools, but more importantly, it starts with a raw reading. We can't take effects and corrections out of a performance.

Re: inversion

Marantz 660 Oh. I didn't know you had one of those! That is without question the best solution. Nobody wrote you had to go through the computer to record your voice. That solves lots of problems in one swipe. I think you need one of these, right? http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/XLR-Cable-500.jpg...

Re: Noise Reduction Issue (Version 2.1.3)

How long is the show? Some of these tools have upper limits on how much work they'll do—how many hours—in one pass.
