Re: Fixing limited audio
I can unpack the magic, too. if you have a client, customer or posting that insists on a mono mix (one blue wave) rather than stereo (two blue waves), or is listening in mono, say on an iPhone speaker, your original track will drop dead (temporarily). Plug a full-on stereo headphone or earset into t...

Re: Fixing limited audio
I don't see an option for "Make Stereo Track" You won't if you got the first step wrong. Screen Shot 2017-08-15 at 21.30.09.png Note the two blue waves are clearly opposite each other. One goes up and one goes down. After you split stereo track, you should have something like this. Screen...

Re: Fixing limited audio
You have a Devil's Adapter (I'm guessing). http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=96664 You can continue to use it that way, particularly if everything sounds OK except for the audio vanishing here and there. While you have your stereo voice track before you use it anywhere else, &qu...

Re: Pitch change automatically for each new track recorded
Overdubbing is stressful to the computer because it has to play your backing tracks absolutely, totally, correctly and it has to record your new work absolutely, perfectly, correctly at the exact same time . Not all computers are up to that. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_recording_troublesh...

Re: Gsnap not making audacity start
Both sound files like WAV and MP3 are independent files and Audacity Projects (AUP and _DATA folder) should be, too. You might get some show damage if you were doing all that effect shuffling while a show was open. Do you know where your shows are? One version of Audacity liked to put shows in the S...

Re: Subtle pops or clicks in my audio
Desperation method: http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/iPod-MicStand-500.jpg Oh, yes. That does work. i'm going to replace the wooden chair and lay a blanket down on the floor to prevent noise from it and see if it helps the issue. I super-duper doubt it. Wearing my pointy elf-hat for a second, the ...

Re: Subtle pops or clicks in my audio
i'm aware of how computers work i'm in the process of getting my CS degree It could be argued you should be telling us what the problem is. .06 seconds is a pretty serious chunk of time for the machine to stop paying attention to the USB data stream. That was the approx gap at the end of your sampl...
