Over on the right somewhere, Prt Scn. Print Screen.
My Win7 machine had an app to do that. I remember finding it in the Windows help system.

Re: Audacity sounds but not record a thing
The UMC22 has red clip lights on the front panel. Adjust the UMC22 recording volume so those lights never come on. They indicate permanent, evil-sounding damage. Over on Audacity, look at the blue waves and the bouncing light sound meter. The blue waves are never allowed to go all the way up and dow...

Re: Audacity sounds but not record a thing
Sorry. Right-click on the speaker icon in the bottom right tooldock - then click on Open Volume Mixer What we're looking for is bouncing sound meters in Windows . Audacity gets its sound from Windows not the device. So if Windows can't see it, Audacity hasn't got a chance. The UMC22 has Windo...

Re: Want to clean away distortion
What kind of process should be at work to do the job. Reshoot it? If you're close enough, pay to have it retransferred. I think can still get access to the prints. It's not compression or noise. It's a bad transfer from old optical track and I'd be shocked if the fidelity made it much over 5KHz, so...

Re: Does this audio sound right?
Most technicians would be horrified you're trying to move the microphone while recording, so there is that. I can't help you with the construction. Yes, if you're not happy with it, you should exchange it. Part of the attraction of this microphone is the construction. You're supposed to be able to w...

I don't think we can do anything with that. Once it's that far gone, there's nothing left to rescue.

Re: Audacity sounds but not record a thing
If you don't press the Direct Monitor button, the UMC22 sends the computer playback sound to the headphones. If you do push it, it lets you hear your live microphone (or instrument) and the computer. That's the setting you use for Overdubbing. I don't own one, but I own two of the other, similar Beh...

Re: Why does my voice sounds so strange
I can't listen right this second, but we're going to ask you this anyway: How did you record it? Which microphone? How is it connected? Which computer? Laptop? Is this the first time it's done this?
Is it Skype connection, or do you have Skype running in the background?

Re: Zoom H6 and Audacity - Basic Question
Did the Zoom instructions have anything to say about this? My Zoom "Natural" USB connection sets itself up for transferring files, not live production. You don't need Audacity, either. Apple (upper left) > System Preferences > Sound > Input. That should show you a Zoom connection and a bou...

Re: unable to write or disk is full
Sometimes you can freak out Windows by putting punctuation marks inside a filename. Dates cause problems. Today is 2017-08-24, or 20170824, not 8/24/17. Dashes and Underscore are OK, slashes are not. You can also cause problems by putting a blank space as a leading character in a name by accident. D...
