Re: DC Offset Cancellation in Windows 10
DC Offset happens when the electronics housekeeping gets into the sound by accident. "DC" for example, is what turns the lights on and amplifies your microphone if you have a USB Microphone interface. DC doesn't sound like anything but it makes everything else possible. The batteries in yo...

KozThe young lady was easily the most beautiful woman on the train-station platform, and most of the men that noticed her would have been willing to admit her the most beautiful woman they might have ever seen.

Re: Hum when I try to record from vinyl
Is this a USB turntable? "E-Z Transfer USB Turntables" are not known for high quality or long life. If it is USB, then you don't have sound cables or special grounding cable. You may have a dead turntable.without having the turntable attached to the PC.

Many small recorders have noise cancellation and other odd tricks, but this one seems to only have a rumble filter (reduces low pitch noises). All your computer...

Re: Export wav-file in the original quality
I hope in the nearest future audacity will have that option. Probably not because there are easy ways around this. Windows has Media INFO. Get the program not the installer. https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download Macs have built-in QuickTime Player INFO and for even better INFO, QuickTime 7 is...

Re: 16.04 Remove human voice from song in 2.1.3
it says Stereo , 48,000 Hz, 32-bit float Then I'm out. It's possible to have a stereo voice track so damaged that even though it satisfies all the rules, it still won't work. Can you select about 10 seconds of mostly voice and post it here? The less accompaniment the better. http://forum.audacityte...
