Re: Help With Voice Quality Post-Processing (AT2020)
@Rizuhbull I bet I can predict the past. Can you tell if your computer is on just by listening? http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MBP_StarbucksStudioShoot-500w.jpg http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/ACXHomeStudio.jpg These don't make a lot of noise. The ACX guy whose name I don't remember is us...

Re: 80 min ≠ 700 MB???!!! What gives?!
I guess knowing the actual capacities of both 650 MB/74 min and 700 MB/80 min would help, if they are indeed not as advertised. Well..... Capacity and Actual Usable may be different and it could be normal. I'm betting if you had one 80 minute song it might fit on an 80 minute CD. Nobody has that. T...

Re: Can I turn my Mono file into a Stereo after it's done?
I will try this "duplicating" the track that you said, and see how it goes. It should go into a stereo show that sounds mono. That's what duplication does. The official obsessive name for that isn't stereo, it's two-track mono. Stereo is where the sopranos and altos are mostly on the left...

Re: DC Offset Cancellation in Windows 10
The meters are set to start turning colors as a warning and they turn red before actual sound damage. After you capture your work, you can do almost anything you want. Almost. It makes everyone uncomfortable, but you could Amplify or Normalize to 0 rather than a slightly lesser value. That's fine un...

I don't have any other burning software installed at the moment Other than Windows Media? https://www.groovypost.com/howto/where-is-windows-media-player-windows-8/ Important: Windows 8 no longer supports native DVD playback. So, you won’t be able to play DVDs through WMP like you can in Windows 7 a...

Re: 80 min ≠ 700 MB???!!! What gives?!
You may have run into a different kind of problem. The Audio CD process runs from time and, in general, takes no notice of the format, compression, etc etc. But it's not 80 minutes. We tell people about 78 minutes and the number can go down if you have a complex show or a great many sound files (up ...

Re: DC Offset Cancellation in Windows 10
The digital system assigns numbers to your sound. If the meter goes all the way up or the blue waves smack 100%, the system runs out of numbers and just stops following the show. Worse, it starts making up its own sound. That's the cracking, popping, and buzzing of overload. Keep the high peaks no h...

Re: DC Offset Cancellation in Windows 10
I agree. All evidence is you have no D.C. Problems at all.The waves seem to center nicely around the 0 mid-line. What's your opinion
D.C. damage, if you had any, is there all the time, but it's only easily visible when the show is quiet.

RMS Normalize in the correction suite is -20dB which is even louder yet.I would use RMS normalize to ~21dB...
In my opinion we should wait for polished fine tuning until the noise is licked. Stiff Noise Reduction can cause response and essing problems.
