Re: Which Headphones is best for mixing tune?
I do have notes on earbuds. I found a config I very much like. No picture yet, but it's the Apple model just after this one. Screen Shot 2017-09-08 at 8.29.29 PM.png I can mess with them enough to make them semi-seal in my ear canal and they sound OK. Then I found someone selling foam covers that bu...

He likes Sennheiser HD25-1.
I think I'm retreading a posting we did a while ago.

Re: Which Headphones is best for mixing tune?
Yeah. I keep oozing back to the Sennheisers. I found the original set left for trash after a studio building move. They had the usual broken cable and everything else worked fine. Trivial to fix. Then I bought a second set. I can listen to both for hours (one at a time). I think it was WaxCylinder w...

Re: Which Headphones is best for mixing tune?
The go-to Hollywood headphones are Sony MDR-7506. Their claim to fame is the ability on a live shoot, to show you something wrong with the sound before anybody else hears it. If you ask for headphones on a shoot, there's just short of 100% chance somebody will hand you a pair of these. Not only are ...

Re: Can't save project or really do anything
While I'm struggling to get the video to play, can you describe the issue?
One common problem: Audacity will not do much while the timeline is in Pause rather than Stop.
Will Audacity let you Export a WAV (Microsoft) sound file? Where does it fail?

Re: Stereo problems when recording vinyl
I was just being as brief as possible. We're hyper sensitive to each word in a posting. We have to build your system in our imagination to "feel" how it works and what's wrong. I'll have a look around and see how cheap I can go : ) The UCA202 is not a bad deal. Whatever you buy has to spe...

Re: iTunes ignoring my track edits in Audacity
I have this fuzzy feeling I should know this one, but I can't quite catch it. 2.0.6 is really old. Any reason you're not in 2.1.3? http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ What happens if you open your edited MP3 in a fresh Audacity? How did you get the silence? Generate > Silence? Generate > S...

Re: time shift of single part in single channel
First pass and without knowing what you're really doing, you should probably not be on one track. Import both songs and they should appear one above the other and try to play at the same time. Use the Time Shift Tool (two sideways black arrows) to push the bottom track to the right (later) until it ...

Re: Remove a certain pitch from audio.
I didn't know I was allowed to give away the name. You can do anything a forum elf asks you to do. We all all powerful [flexing muscles]. The actual restriction is never, ever try to sell us anything without notice. We have no trouble sending people off to an app that does something useful, many ti...
