Did you change the name of either the AUP file or the _DATA folder? You can't change either one outside of the actual Audacity program.

Re: Can't playback a saved file.
Open the AUP file with a text editor Wordpad?? NotePad?? (don't save anything). Does it look anything like this: http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/aupFileGraphic.png This was "cleaned up" a little so it's easier to understand, but yours should look similar. Is it blank or have pages and p...

Post back if you get something to work. This is a common problem.

Re: Unable to record from USB musical instrument
Is this a known issue? It's a known issue that Audacity will only record from one sound device at a time. It's possible with software such as VoiceMeeter Banana to make multiple devices "look like" a single device or sound channel to Audacity. Did you do something like that? It's also pos...

Re: Sent Project with AUP file and .AU files not opening
I made an hour and one minute project. This is what it looks like. Screen Shot 2017-09-27 at 19.48.18.png I opened the d00 folder and it contains 257 AU files. Screen Shot 2017-09-27 at 19.48.37.png All of my times and dates are the same because I created a "fake" show in a couple of secon...

Re: Sent Project with AUP file and .AU files not opening
I went to his house and there were files everywhere. I'm picturing the YouTube Cat Video where the owners put the toilet paper roll on the wrong direction. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/audacity_projects.html The _data folder contains a top level folder like that e00 folder. That in turn holds...

Re: Audacity Crashes and wipes clean all of my audio
My computer is good 'n strong:) How big is the hard drive and how much space do you have left? If you've been doing production for a while it may be fuller than you think. all of the boxes that the audio data used to be visually represented in are there... just no audio. So Audacity vanishes and wh...

Re: Sent Project with AUP file and .AU files not opening
There is one other oddity. Illustration. That name is different from the ones you gave me. Is that a feature of DropBox, or does the name really have a "1" in it? All the names in the show have to exactly match. By the way, this is why I never uses spaces in filenames. I know it's a holdov...

Re: Sent Project with AUP file and .AU files not opening
OK, well, the good-ish news is the tiny fragments seem to be in good shape, at least the one I checked. Generally, if you're going to have problems, it's going to be global. Attached. Each of the AU files will open in Audacity. What's the possibility of getting the recordist to gather everything up ...
