Re: AudioBook Mastering version 4
the noise floor measurement can sometimes be a long way off. Which way and why? I know the plugin needs a continuous half-second of room tone to measure noise. If the performer doesn't leave a half-second, the tool will guess at it. Also, that Low Rolloff thing is a big deal. Can't leave that out. ...

Re: AudioBook Mastering version 4
But why are they pushing back if my file says it passes acx check? Did they give you a reason? They almost always give you a narrative of why it failed. Just telling someone their dB noise value didn't pass isn't useful. A note here, ACX-Check isn't published by ACX. It's a tool designed by flynwil...

Re: Audacity Crashes and wipes clean all of my audio
ill try to anti virus stuff Some Anti-Virus packages see Audacity as pure evil and tries to "protect you" from everything Audacity does. Particularly if you're trying to save work in or near the system files. That can ring several bells. Another variation is the software will prevent Auda...

Re: Export Selected Audio greyed out after 2 uses per sessio
Get global. Does it do that to any sound file, or only your hour-long show? I can't tell from the post, but are you exporting one song twice, for example, one WAV and one MP3? And then the third export fails? Does it work if you export to the desktop? There is a desperation method. Place labels at t...

This is an illustration of a perfect voice recording. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/AudacityRecording-650w.jpg Home microphones or recording systems generally record low as a policy because low voice can be recovered, but high voice can be permanently damaged. Nobody will come out with a st...

Still, it shouldn't put sound in the recording that wasn't there.
Make a sound test and post it here. Words aren't important. Read a cereal box, but do it the way you would normally perform

Blue Ball thing. Much as I would love to do a take-off on having blue balls, you probably mean the Blue company Snowball microphone. Write back if you don't. a previous book needed an issue addressed So you reconstructed as much as possible the original recording environment and hoped to goodness i...
