Re: Problem installing ffmpeg-mac-2.2.2.zip
OK, first, yes it does. Attached m4a pink noise sound file from an almost identical machine. 5.selected 'libavcodec.55.dylib' and opened it I don't remember that step at all. My install looks like this. Screen Shot 2017-10-06 at 3.42.27 PM.png I'm not the installer whiz, but somehow I did this over ...

Re: RMS levels
it could be very bad sounding to others due to the creator's ears adapting to what they like even if it meets ACX RMS standards. Which is why the second step at ACX is Human Quality Control. I posted multiple times this exercise only gets you past the ACX Robot, difficult enough as it is. You also ...

Re: DELAY ECHO REVERB
Did you try it? It's not. Do you know where your noise is coming from? There are some noises like the Yeti Curse that take a custom filter and not Effect > Noise Reduction. This is the noise write-up hanging from the bottom of the AudioBook Mastering paper. Those are the main sources of noise—and th...

Re: URGENT!! 3 MICS on MIXER & I need to Isolate Each Track
I don't mean to suggest you're out of the woods even if you get all that to work. Each microphone is going to capture one performer's good voice and the bare-wall echo of the other two. Any correction you make to one voice is going to affect the echo of the others. And if you do use the second compu...

Re: RMS levels
slight low end boomy howl I hear in the show. Not surprised. This machine has two microphones on the left side with the idea they are going to "help me" and I have no idea what the help consists of. Screen Shot 2017-10-05 at 21.03.07.png Also, you're assuming I don't normally sound like t...

Re: URGENT!! 3 MICS on MIXER & I need to Isolate Each Track
That doesn't mean you can't force the mixer into giving you three independent voices. You can. This mixer has two "sends." The red and orange knobs. So. Leave them down on microphones one and two. Fade those normally so one is Left and the other Right. Feed those out to the computer for re...

Re: URGENT!! 3 MICS on MIXER & I need to Isolate Each Track
No. Audacity will accept multi-track mixer/interfaces (4-track) for recording, but you don't have a multi-track mixer—that we can tell. If you're all in the same non-studio room, you will have zero chance to isolate each voice from the others anyway. So your only chance to pull this off is manually ...

Re: RMS levels
The posted blue waves show a terrific amount of peak flattening. Is this the Mastering Suite, or is this when you were baking your own corrections? That's dangerous. That could be where your noise is coming from.
