Re: Zooming in when there is a selection focuses on the midd

There's about a million different Zoom options.

I use drag-select and zoom into the selection Control-E in Windows. Zoom out a bit Control-3 and Zoom out Full with Control-F. Those were the only three I used for years. If you're on a Mac, sub "Command."

Re: Recording volume set?

An original David Hafler designed preamp.
Correct. One of them is the volume control in my office/production desk speaker system and the other is connected to the turntable.

Re: Recording volume set?

The "Tape Out" on your music system may not be adjustable. A tape burned from your musical show should not be affected by your speaker volume control. "My phone is ringing, I need to get this" and turning the volume down should not kill a tape you're making. So that's where your ...

Re: Slight echo - maybe a setting? Help with podcast

Probably because I'm a newbie.
Or more likely, the recording was in a bare room with echoes and reverb. In that case, nothing you do would ever line up.

The current style of bare, highly polished wood floors and featureless white walls is an aggressively hostile recording environment.

Any feedback on the spreaker studio desktop ap?
I use the unconditionally stable two-computer method.

We were waiting for you to tell us.

Re: Recording volume set?

Behringer UCA 202 thing and have been recording from vinyl onto the computer. Hopefully, you have a preamp between the turntable and the UCA-202. Doing RIAA compensation in Audacity post production is a desperation method, not the recommended one. Behringer also makes the UFO-202 which has a built-...

Re: PLEASE HELP! Cant save project and part of audio file mi

The blue waveforms come from a separate place than the actual show, so it's not that surprising to get a production with silent waves under stress conditions. It's false advertising. There is no show during those portions. A full drive isn't the only way to get that error. You can put characters in ...

Re: Have trouble recording over music

This is the setting panel for a stereo in and out Behringer USB device, and the device toolbar on the top of Audacity. Macs like to turn administration over to the device, so some of the settings are missing, but the computer does think USB-Audio CODEC is both record and play back. That's what the B...

Re: Have trouble recording over music

Don't give up. We have to build your system in our imagination to try and unclog what's happening. Overdubbing is the first time Audacity has to connect to both Record and Playback at the same time. So the settings for both have to be correct. As a quick guess, I'd say your settings to Play to the 2...

Re: Recording from Trio+ to Audacity

What is the little USB interface? It's the wrong color for a UCA-202 or UCA222. Plug your headphones into that, switch to Monitor and see if all the instruments are there. Or just tell us what it is.
