That’s not a once in a lifetime call, either. There was another poster who sent one back.

Re: Audacity will only launch when logged in as administrato
This is the installer graphic. Screen Shot 2017-10-27 at 02.14.32.png It's a little odd you didn't recognize it right away in spite of my bad description. You should get this when you double click the Disk Image (dmg). This is a segment of my Applications folder. I have multiple versions on my machi...

Re: Blue Yeti Mic
Right. If somebody paid me I don't think I could make it do that. Those are some weird symptoms.
Can you try the microphone on a different computer? I'm having a hard time avoiding a broken microphone call.

I don't know of one, and that seemed odd to me, too.

Re: Recording muffles after several seconds
That's Windows voice processing. As you noticed, you probably now have to deal with environment noises, fan sounds and echoes. That's what voice processing solves. Voice Processing hates music. It sees any sustained musical tone as noise and tries to get rid of it. So if this is the first time you'v...

Re: Blue Yeti Mic
You should tell us the Audacity version number. I'm using 2.1.3. That's a lot of damage from a Yeti. Audacity gets sound from Windows, not the microphone, so it's possible Windows is doing something odd. Is the Yeti plugged directly into the computer? No hubs or splitters? Do a cold Windows shutdown...

Re: How to insert the Index Marks while recording in Audacit
Audacity doesn't have Index Marks or Edit Points, but it does have Labels. You can plant labels during a recording.

If you do that, note the headphone connection does not vanish. Switch the UCA-202 monitor ON and the 202 headphone connection becomes active.

Re: Zooming in when there is a selection focuses on the midd
I don’t know how magic it is. It’s a Logitech USB mouse jacked into the side of a wired keyboard.
It’s actually much more of a problem with a touch pad. After losing my edit region the third or fourth time, I gave up and went back to Drag > ^E.

Re: Zooming in when there is a selection focuses on the midd
CTRL + Mousewheel.
I had trouble with that. It wanders, and then I back out and it doesn’t come back straight. Pretty much the problem the poster has. Zoom to selection lets me define both edges. CTRL - 3 always backs out straight.
