Re: 2.2.0 odd problem
I keep the older installers in an archive folder.2.1.3 is not longer available for download.
You typically can get older Audacity versions, but 2.1.3 may not be posted yet.

Re: 2.2.0 odd problem
I don't know what would cause the blue waves and the sound meter to not match. That is very odd. You can install more than one version of Audacity. As far as I know you can install Audacity into an APP folder instead of just the APP location—and you can have more than one. I don't know how that work...

Re: au files missing
I'm editing a two-hour podcast. Hopefully, you're editing copies of the original voice tracks? Does the show have multiple tracks? More than two blue waves top to bottom? I don't know why a project would do that. A simple move should be OK since you made sure not to change the names of anything and...

Re: Why are my "levels" always RED?
Right-click the recording meter and make sure it's Gradient - DB for recording. That's the one that starts turning yellow, then orange and then finally red when you get too far up. The goal is to make the meters just start changing colors, usually with peaks around -6 or -10 or so. http://www.kozco....

Re: Levelling out track amplification for a 1 hour Podcast.
There's a relatively recent voice leveler. I need to go looking for it. My go-to generic leveler is Chris Compressor. https://theaudacitytopodcast.com/chriss-dynamic-compressor-plugin-for-audacity/ I change the first value Compression Ratio from the default 0.5 to 0.77 and it's a dead ringer for the...

That's an old Audacity where the meter was always red. You can get the latest version 2.2.0 from here..

Re: Mic Input Levels Changing Constantly
using Audacity to record our tracks separately. That's recommended. Trying to record Skype directly is amusing but usually not productive. the input level ... is constantly moving lower and louder. Are you recording from the Yeti? What does it say just down from the microphone symbol? You may need ...

Re: 2nd track not opening when recording
"Fake" crash record always put the new work at the end of the old. I thought 2.2.0 was supposed to have "real" crash record. You place the cursor anywhere and go. Looking.
