Re: HELP ME! NEED ADVICE--NEW NARRATOR HERE
You may not get that far. There is a technical test you need to pass before anybody worries about lip smacks. The overall voice volume has to be just so, it has to not overload and the background noise when you stop speaking has to be a thousand times quieter than your voice. Home readers never make...

Re: HELP ME! NEED ADVICE--NEW NARRATOR HERE
That's what happened to me. They have a whole thing about drinking apple juice and doing breathing exercises so your reading comes out "clean" and you don't have to spend forever editing out noises. Will ACX reject me for clicks and breaths?

Re: Putting pre recorded tracks together for choir
OK. Worth a shot. I'm in the odd position of being able to tell you how to assemble a fragmented performance without having actually done one. So I know the mechanics, but not the tricks.
Thanks anyway.

Re: Settings
If you have a newer Mac, I'm curious about the adapters. The Yeti came with a large USB-A connector and Macs don't support that any more. How did they deal with that?

Re: ACX plug in not working
Please note in your screen shot the filename is wrong. Take off the dot txt.
ACX-Check.ny
Other than that, it seems to be the right one.

Re: Missing data folder
Moving the AUP file just outside the _DATA folder didn't work? https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MyMusicAUP-MyMusic_DATA.jpg Double Click the AUP file and the show should open. The other thing you can't do is change the names of anything outside of Audacity. Open an AUP file (don't save anythi...

Re: Putting pre recorded tracks together for choir
People do perform this way. It does have a stunning learning curve. All the possible errors and misunderstandings pop up at once. No, all computer sound files are not MP3. You're not herding cats, you're marching them. Do you have any public way to post long-ish sound files? The forum will only let ...

Re: crash when apply effect
How long is the show?
When was the last time you restarted your Mac?
How many other things do you have running?
Do you use iCloud or other on-line storage?

Re: A little trouble with Exporting
As an example, ACX demands you submit your audiobook readings at 192 quality MP3. We strongly recommend you make your edit masters as uncompressed WAV (Microsoft) 16-bit, and then make an MP3 copy for submission. You can never change or edit that MP3 without sound quality damage even if you stay at ...

Re: bit depth for makro export
Audacity works internally at 32-floating, not regular 32-bit. This is done to keep you out of trouble with filters and special effects. 32-floating doesn't overload. If you apply an effect that accidentally boosts your volume into overload or clipping, it's a simple matter to gently reduce the volum...
