Re: transfer voice mail from iphone
Last time we went through this, turns out there's an app that can export your voicemail sound files into a married iTunes program on your computer. From there, it's just drag into Audacity and edit. If transfer is all you wanted, then you don't need Audacity. Note this is very different from recordi...

Back to the do list.
Do those green bars on the right flash and change when you perform with that Windows panel open.

Re: Recording is not complete after saving - Please help
3 hours stereo WAV is one of the natural file limits (2 Gb). That’s the first thing that came to mind when you were describing the problem. Possibly nothing to do with it, but still.

Re: What's Wrong Here..?
You see the green bars to the right? I had music playing, so mine are half dark green. Play music and watch the green bars. Do yours change?

Re: What's Wrong Here..?
why didn't I get those [drivers] when I downloaded Audacity in the first place...??? Audacity doesn't get the sound from the UMC22. Audacity gets it from Windows. Windows has to know how to receive the sound from the USB cable before Audacity has a shot at it, and that's where the drivers come in. ...

Re: What's Wrong Here..?
Apparently, Windows machines take USB Drivers. I wonder if that's true, though. I suspect if you didn't use the rest of the software package they send you and just plug it in cold, it just works... I can't get anybody to tell me which Windows versions work. Screen Shot 2017-11-26 at 20.26.26.png Not...

Re: Strange saving thing
Export the MP3 first then save the Project. Audacity should not ask again. Audacity uses the Project as the cue to stop asking. If you do anything after you save a Project, Audacity naturally assumes it needs to save a fresh, new Project.

Re: What's Wrong Here..?
I borrowed a machine. Start > Control Panels > Sound Win7SoundPanel.PNG Switch to Recording tab. The thing on the right is a volume meter. Note it says Microphone , but in smaller letters it admits it's really the USB Audio CODEC which is the Behringer I plugged in. I have a smaller cousin to the UF...

Re: Inconsistent latency --> automatic track shift woes
Strange if no one else is experiencing this problem though. Yes. It's not a hair-on-fire problem if only you have the problem on only your machine. if Audacity was regularly going to need ... molly-coddling. But we won't know until we solve it. If it makes absolutely no difference at all, then that...
