Re: Converting WAV. Files to MP3 to share electronically

You can install the Lame software into Audacity from here (scroll down). http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ Then you can open the work in Audacity and Export it as an MP3. (File > Save Other). You should know what quality you want. WAV files are more or less always perfect quality and the...

Re: freeze frame for audio

Video editors are repeatedly playing one video frame, so that's where the stuttering single note comes from. mamamamamamadedededededetutututututu. Audacity doesn't have video frames, so there is no good reference. I don't know of a good easy way to simulate that effect, either, short of repeatedly d...

Re: How to acheive the same volume on all of my commentaries

It’s a really big deal to be wearing headphones during a voice performance. That goes a very long way to self-correcting your volume. Hopefully, you’re using a mixer or microphone system that allows “zero latency” monitoring. You can’t listen to the computer to do this because of delay problems. Koz

Re: Please Help

I think Windows 10 has two different tabs, one for speakers/headphones Playback and the other for Recording.

Re: Audacity will not record on this computer

You can start with left-brain obsessive descriptions, model numbers and versions. We can't work with "a different computer." What are you singing into? How is it connected? Which three-number Audacity are you using? Who made your current computer? What's the model? Has this config ever wor...

Usb Interface to record my guitar to audacity Details and part numbers. We need to build your system in our heads to troubleshoot it. Re: Retrieving deleted project

since I lost the project, I have made many more Then that may be the end of the world. Once you delete something in Mac or Linux, the system sees the deleted files as "fresh meat" and steps on the space fairly quickly. I don't know that anybody's ever recovered anything from either of tho...

Re: Noise in classroom recording

I prefer recording my lessons in isolation as a practice before I actually try out the lessons in the classroom. That will give you your lecture clean. How do you deal with the student questions or responses? And yes, there is a time-honored tradition of "Studio Recording" the work to get...

Re: What's Wrong Here..?

No it does not indicate any audio activity with those green bars. Then the UMC22 may be broken. Windows claims it can connect to the UMC22 and you can hear sound at the UMC22 headphone connection but it's not getting to Windows, I think that's the end. Did the company who sold you the UMC22 have a ...
