Re: "Could not find project data folder / Could not load fil

converted it to a WAV
Where is the WAV file? If everything goes into the mud, that may be the only working copy of the show.

It is recommended that you make a WAV copy as a backup for any valuable work.

Re: "Could not find project data folder / Could not load fil

This is one complete Project. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MyMusicAUP-MyMusic_DATA.jpg The _DATA folder and the Project Manager AUP file have to be in the same place or folder on the computer. They have to have the same name and it has to be the name you gave it when you made the Project. If y...

Re: Audacity will not record on this computer

Maybe it could be my drivers? My guess is no. Software drivers don't come and go like that (that I know of). Maybe it's as simple as starting Audacity after you connect everything. a mixer via XLR XLR is the connection type that good quality microphones use. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/XLR-C...

Re: Envelope Tool disabled 2.1.0

Are you sure you're not in Pause—click the keyboard P key? That's the only way I can get the forbidden symbol along with the Green position arrow and cursor in different places.

Click P again.

OK, that may be a waveoff. Does your Sabrent look like this?

That's not the right adapter to go from your mixer to the computer.

The pink connection is for a sensitive mono computer microphone, not high volume stereo mixer sound.

Let us know.

Re: Audacity will not record on this computer

Can you find your Windows Start button? Start > Control Panel > Sound That should give you a panel similar to this. Win7SoundPanel.PNG Switch to the Record Tab. Find the USB device that more or less matches the Sabrent. It may not say that, but it may be the only USB sound device in that panel. Make...

Are you in Pause? Lots of tools go away when you're in Pause.

Re: Converting WAV. Files to MP3 to share electronically

MP3 has hidden problems, too.

MP3 is designed as an end-product.

If you edit an MP3 into another MP3, the quality may take a very serious hit. It will be the combined sound damage of the two MP3s.

Time bomb.

"How come my new MP3 sounds like a bad cellphone?"

Re: How to acheive the same volume on all of my commentaries

It's not unusual to smack into peak problems when you start messing with volume. The AudioBook process also uses RMS Normalize and for the same reason, but follows it up with Effect > Limiter to keep the tips of the blue waves from going higher than 100%. http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?...

Re: Converting WAV. Files to MP3 to share electronically

If your work is going to someone for post production editing, it is strongly recommended you get them the WAV file somehow rather than reducing the quality with an MP3. You can post the work in a file hosting service such as DropBox, or you can chop the work up in Audacity to several smaller WAV fil...
