Re: Separate voice from song?
In Audacity 2.2.0 available here: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ There is Effect > Vocal Reduction and Isolation. Try it before you tell your client you can do this. There's a long list of ways this can fail. It's usually best if you go in assuming it's not going to work. http://manua...

Re: Recording of Internet Phone Call
My friend, my desires only extend to recording some conversations with a few people special to me, so I can mull over what really transpired in the sometimes emotionally complex interactions, and, occasionally, preserve an exchange for my personal posterity. Re: Recording of Internet Phone Call
There's perfectly plain-vanilla tricks, too. You can make any communications recording sound better just by having everybody wear headphones. A good deal of that "bad cellphone" voice is just Skype having to do voice management and echo cancellation. If there is no voice management, that p...

a guy who shows how to set up to record 2-channel skype calls One of the joys of Skype is the updates. There's no shortage of surprises when Skype does an update or background change and all the capture services and techniques stop working. Even usually stable, paid software Pamela got hosed with t...

some audio he wants editing from a while back, If it's a mono, fresh recording with no changes or edits, you might be able to use that process to piece it back together. If it's stereo, the show may assemble with left and right sound reversing at random times. If the show has any edits or other cha...

Re: Audacity will not record on this computer
You don't have a mixer. You can't plug two or three microphones in and mix between them. You only have the power supply to run your condenser microphone which I'm guessing about because you didn't tell us what it is. With all the problems you can have with the Neewer and adapter cable, it still shou...
