Did they send you an Edit Master, or is this a raw capture? Edit Masters are not recoverable.

Re: FILES IMPORTING IN TINY CHUNKS OUT OF ORDER
Was there an AUP file in the zip? It’s the job of the AUP file to unscramble the _DATA folder.

Re: Remove Breathing Sound Over Audio
I don't hear any breathing over the effects, but I do note that the composite track only sounds good with good headphones or a good quality speaker system. All those low tones are going to vanish when you play it on a phone (or in my case, a small laptop). And some of the rest of it is going to vani...

Re: What File Should I Master?
I will add that stage performance and narrating are VERY different beasts. Yes. "Playing to the last balcony" is six inches in front of you. You can actually do theatrical expression, but you have to couple it with microphone distance management so the volume doesn't go nuts. It's a very ...

Re: Audiobox Won't Record...Except One Way
Some postings said you can get around this by taking the Time Shift Tool (two sideways arrows), click and shove your backing track to the right. The problem appears when "zero time" on the track doesn't match zero time on the timeline. The music starts too early. http://manual.audacityteam...

Re: Audiobox Won't Record...Except One Way
Edit > Preferences > Recording. If you're overdubbing (listen to a backing track while you record new work), then [X]overdubbing should be selected, and [X]always record a new track. Starting a track before zero is how Audacity compensates for Recording Latency. I'm not sure how you get a latency se...

Re: Large WAV file not complete
Audacity is not a good long-form or surveillance recorder. People run into this all the time.
I think FLAC is a perfect quality format missing the file size restriction. Make sure your client can play FLAC files.

Re: CAN NOT RECORD FROM DDJ SB2 To AUDACITY.
My 2012 15" MBP has Stereo Line Out (Headphones) and Stereo Line-In. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MacLineIn-650.jpg I use the Stereo Line-In (on the left) to record my analog mixer and anything else I need. It appears as "Built-In Input" in the Mac setups. However. Only the ...

Re: Question on noise gating.
There is a desperation method. Set up the gated track on top and the constant Room Tone on the bottom. Use the Envelope tool to manually switch the Room Tone track in and out as needed. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/envelope_tool.html There is one more totally out-there possibility. Auto Duck i...

Re: Question on noise gating.
De-Esser and De-Clicker are designed for mouth noise problems. http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=245549#p245549 You can start a new track under your existing one (Tracks > Add New) and put a "processed" Room Tone on that track. Loop it until it comes out the right length. It wi...
