Re: AudioBook Mastering version 4
I got noise conformance with a comfortable margin, but I had to work hard to get it there. Attached. Screen Shot 2017-12-17 at 10.10.49.png Next time you submit something, you can convert it to mono. It uploads faster, takes up less room and we don't care. ACX requests submission in mono. Drop-down ...

Re: AudioBook Mastering version 4
I just snap my fingers and then repeat the word/phrase correctly and continue on. That makes it easy to find the mistake and delete it. Writing that down.... Do you have any lamp dimmers in with you or Compact Fluorescent Lamps? Regular tube-type fluorescent bulbs? There is a significant portion of...

Re: AudioBook Mastering version 4
has anyone tried using a projector Have you found a quiet projector? They all have the universal requirement of keeping the light source cool, much easier with LED sources, but still. Extending the keyboard/mouse and display to an outside computer is not a bad way to go. I'm finding that my paleoli...

Re: Audiobox Won't Record...Except One Way
I press record and the cursor just blinks. If the cursor blinks and doesn't move, Audacity is not getting audio data, or it thinks it's not getting data. My two go-to steps are to do a deep shutdown of Windows. Shift-Shutdown, wait a bit and bring it up again. That resets more things than a simple ...

Re: Windows 10 Audacity 2.2.1 How to recover raw data
did not save project as an audacity file You can't help it. When you save a Project, Audacity will produce an AUP project manager file and a _DATA folder with the music (or show) in it. What you did with it after that is a different problem. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MyMusicAUP-MyMusic_DAT...

Re: Audiobox Won't Record...Except One Way
it's just how I want it to be It's just how you want it to be for overdubbing . If you're plain recording and press R, you expect the first note of your show to match the first note of the existing track. The Latency compensation has to vanish. It's only in overdubbing when you press R that Audacit...

Re: Air pods not syncing with audacity HELP
Have you set the Air Pods as the default output device in "System Preferences > Sound"? We're not suggesting you do that forever (although it is a good desperation method), but more to find out if that action fixes the problem every time . That gives the developers something to chew on. T...

Re: Live Dj set sounds glitchty when I hit record.
Screen Shot 2017-12-16 at 17.36.46.png Windows 7 or later doesn't count. The software has to say Windows 10 compliant . Win10 is not a graceful extension to the Windows heritage. It's new and drivers have to be written for it. That and Audacity is 32-bit, not 64, so right away, you have two differe...

Re: breaking recorded track
not necessarily buffer length defaults Right. It's good not to leap directly into "obvious" causes and effect. It is possible the default value is poor and any change either way will change success into failure. It's also possible, and in fact likely that the act of managing the buffer si...

Re: Not able to record
I'm not trying to hold any into back. We understand you're stressing about this failure, but we're a volunteer group across multiple time zones and we can't see your machine, so sometimes we go off in the wrong direction. If you get a blue screen with tiny white characters, that's very serious. Win...
