Just for the record. How was this recorded (if you know)?
I've seen people in the back of a lecture hall trying to record a presentation. I expect it to sound just like this.

Re: Noice Reduction doesn't work / Please help me to fix this audio
I got this to work once on a test sound file. Look for a simple, clean echo in the dialog. I chose 7.65 seconds to 8.25 seconds. Ideally, the performer would clap once just before speaking. You may have seen some musical performers do that. They're doing it for sound sync, but that's not the only th...

Can you post that work again, only longer? Same thing only 10 seconds.

Re: AUDACITY TAKING HOURS TO SAVE?
Do you have older spinning-metal hard drives? Newer machines can come with Solid State Drives which a are generally smaller and more expensive, but very much faster. What are you doing to the shows? Effects? Cleanup? Audacity performs some UNDO by saving high-quality copies of the whole show . So yo...

No, I don't know of any way to remove the echo/reverb in your recording. Echoes are very difficult. Echoes are your voice bouncing from walls and arriving at the microphone slightly later than the main voice or performance. The sample sounds like it was made in a hall or other large room, but any r...

Re: Saved file mysteriously deleted
Audacity 3 is expected to open up older shows, right? It just won't make new ones in the old format?Neither have I, but as you say, we shouldn't need to worry about this for much longer.

I'm much more concerned about the headphones. It is recommended that you wear headphones during production.

Now we get to trace sound pathways and see if we can figure out why it failed.
Are they wireless?

Re: Microhpone advice needed: Blue/Yeti vs Rode NT-USB
He has a knack for making mistakes. I did find a place where No Editing is handy. There is a plumbing show where the performer, for example, replaces a faucet valve and makes all the home-newby mistakes. "I tried extracting the old one by hand, but it wouldn't come out and I ended up using the...

Re: Recording incoming phone audio
I use a special purpose microphone. That's an Olympus TP7 plugged into an Olympus sound recorder. OlympusWS823-TP7.jpg It goes in my ear and the phone goes on top. It will record both sides of anything I can hold up to my head. You can use it plugged into your computer, too, but then you have to str...

Re: Newbi...getting a buzz sound on my recording.
I do not know if this is a mic issue or a software issue. Or playback issue. I hear normal quiet neighborhood sounds behind your voice. You might try listening on something that's not your computer. When you post sound for the forum to use, it's a good idea to make sure we can download the work wit...
