Re: ACX Check not working

Now I just need to figure out how to fix the issues that aren't a passing grade.
Or, you can post a simple sound test and let us help.

Record it, export and post it. Don't help.

Re: ACX Check not working

Fascinating. It's been something of a mystery where that .txt thing is coming from.

Attached.

See if that changes into a .txt file when you manage it.

I have a 10.11 Mac I can see what happens to me.

Re: ACX Check not working

This is what a successful ACX Check panel looks like. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/ACXCheckSuccess.jpg If your submission fails, the panel will give you simple comments about the failure. You can confuse the app. ACX Check looks for at least 1/2 second of clean Room Tone to measure noise. If i...

Re: posting Audacity recordings to Facebook

Or you create a video
Audacity doesn't make videos. You need an outside application for that.

Re: ACX Check not working

The link on the wiki page led me to download Acx-check.ny.txt. Can you point me to that link? The download is a Nyquist Program not a plain text file. Remove the .txt from the end of the file and try again. Also, It appears under Analyze in Audacity, not Effect. Only the first three analysis lines ...

Re: No playback sound

Do you have two blue waves? Did you record in stereo? Audacity has two volume indicators. The bouncing sound meter and the blue waves. If you have both of those, then you have a known, good, working show whether or not you can hear it. Let's try something a little odd. See the Left - Right fader ove...

Re: Win 10 audio problems

OK. Before we ride off in all directions, how are you connecting your players to the Win10 machine? The Older Win7 machine may have had a good stereo music system connection on the soundcard in back. Mine does. Chances of the Win10 machine having that is practically zero—unless you intentionally bou...

Re: Removing vocals

You're dead, but maybe not for the reasons you think. Most Vocal Removal works by managing the differences between Left and Right in a stereo show. This isn't a stereo show. It may have two blue waves, but they're the same. It's two track mono and so not available for vocal management. Try it. Open ...

Re: Saving as mp3

Did you make it through these Windows instructions?

http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/inst ... ml#winlame

I do know in instruction #4, if you don't put the software in the right place, it won't appear.

Re: Saving as mp3

Audacity needs a software package installed to create a new MP3 file. That's what "Lame" does.
