Re: Eliminate sounds throughout an entire file all at once
Rather than guess at it, shoot a 20 second sound test and post it here. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/TestClip/Record_A_Clip.html Don't do anything to it. Pull it down from the H4n, cut it to size if you need to and post it. Don't make it too short, either. Read the side of the milk carton. Any...

Re: extremely low recording level when run through mixer

Re: Converting wav to mp3 files without losing quality
downloaded Lame Make sure it works. Open your posted sound test and export it as an MP3. Screen Shot 2018-01-24 at 12.48.41.png It's a very common New User mistake that they announce a script, edit it and export the finished MP3 all from one Audacity timeline. If Audacity or the computer goes face-...

Re: Converting wav to mp3 files without losing quality
You are the poster child for what's supposed to happen when you record your voice. I applied the Audiobook Mastering Suite of tools and your clip would pass submission with no further work. http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=96103 First three lines and sentence 2/3 down. Screen S...

Nice voice. It makes we want to immediately check out securely. Home Audio Production Good Practices. I would install the Lame software in Audacity and use that to make the MP3. Scroll down. http://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac/ And while you're there, install and use Audacity 2.2.1. 2.0.6 is re...

Re: Isolating voice from background music
Is it stereo? Two blue waves and are they different? During the performance, do the two bouncing sound meters do different things? If you fail either of those, that's full stop. If it is a stereo performance then you can try Effect > Vocal Reduction and Isolation. As a fuzzy rule, if you can't under...

Re: FM recording tips?
How are you connecting?Buffering issues, drop outs, etc.
You should run a speed test and find out whether you're getting anything like the speed you're paying for.
