Re: Removing distortion

This is after extensive surgery. This is odd. Analysis of the original proves there are no tones higher than 7500 Hz. None. The musical tonal population of the clip goes out to about 7500 and drops as a rock. That's significant because AM radio goes away at 5000. So the best this clip will ever do i...

Re: How to open 2nd track in the same window?

any differences b/n win7 and win10? One Very Important Difference is drivers and support software. Drivers have to be written to support Windows 10 and they have to say so. No more "OK for Windows" stuff. Win10 is a new OS, it's not a simple, tinkering around the edges update. Worse than ...

I'm not ignoring you. Senior elves will be along to address the numbering scheme.

I wrote some of the manual entries for audiobooks, so I have a natural curiosity how you're doing it.

with individual segments timed at about 5 minutes And you're perfectly correct, however, can we assume you're assembling your segments from copies of the performed work? Nothing like assembling an audiobook across many multiple original tracks and have the machine fall over for whatever reason taki...

Re: Missing Audio Data Blocks

The bug only arises if you use Save As rather than simply Save (repeatedly) to save to the existing project name. If you use Save Project to save the current project (as intended) and Save Project As to save a copy to a different project name (as intended) then all will be well. So it occurs from n...

Re: Removing distortion

It's hurting my ears to listen to this interview. And would probably hurt our ears if we could hear it. We need to experience it to guess at a solution. Post a WAV clip of the work on the forum. If it's stereo (two blue waves) post 10 seconds. Mono, 20 seconds. We can't do anything with a two secon...

Re: Recorded interview plays back like Chipmonks (high speed

Do you use Skype or other chat app on that machine? Skype is famous for taking over the sound services and settings in a computer whether you want it to or not. Nobody would be shocked if odd computer problems went away if you disabled Skype. I believe it's OK to just close Skype. Most people leave ...

Re: Recorded interview plays back like Chipmonks (high speed

after that the voice speeds up That's what it seems like, but it probably didn't actually speed up. A fast playback can mean the recording showed down. You can get fast action in a movie by slowing down the movie camera. So what you're really looking for is why the recorder slowed down. Did it find...

l have no idea how to enhance to make it understanble
You're in good company. Neither do we.

It's killer difficult to record a conversation from a cellphone/mobile. It is very highly recommended you try a technique or App before you commit to an important recording.
