There was one completely wacky problem that cropped up here and there. If Sound Activate Recording is already de-selected, Select it > OK. Restart Audacity, go back in and de-select it.

That sounds like Sound Activated Recording.
Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Recording > [_] Sound Activated Recording (de-select).

Re: Low Recording Levels via USB output from Mixer Board
That mixer has the ability to switch a number of different busses and configurations out the USB. Are you sending "Main?" Also from the pictures, they call "0" a good 20dB down from digital overload. Perfectly valid. 20dB headroom for live performances is a good thing. That's zer...

Re: Recording from Behringer UCA 202 USB to Audacity
My music keyboard has a stereo headphone connection. I adapted that to a split between my music system and a UCA-202. That gives me the ability to set the keyboard volume for Audacity recording levels and still set the room sound so it's comfortable. I'd be shocked if a keyboard as large as yours wa...

Re: Rhythm track being recorded onto new teacks
I think you got stuck with one of the new options.
People complained bitterly about not being able to add new work to the end of an existing track, so that's an option now.
Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Recording > Options.

Re: Audio recording: quality loss after a while
What he said. Unless you change it, Windows sees extended musical notes as "Room Noise" and is determined to protect your important corporate conference call from that damage.
That's what Windows is thinking. Windows hasn't been a generic recorder in a long time.

Re: Decibel/ volume reader
That's the one you use if someone is suing your company for hearing damage. That's also the one you use when you're setting up a new screening room for clients writing big checks.you could be paying well over $3000.

Re: Recording from Behringer UCA 202 USB to Audacity
The UCA202 doesn't have a mono input. It's stereo only.line from Casio to mono input in UCA202
Switch the UCA202 to MONITOR and plug headphones into the headphone connection. You should be able to hear your keyboard.
