Re: Noise Reduction remnants.

I'm rid of this blasted cold.
So that means you have a ballsy, announcing voice now, right?

"In a World..."

Get all the good quality stuff down before you get better.

Re: mega sync cloud storage

I am surprised you got damage in a paid Cloud Storage Service, no matter what it costs. You should investigate that divorced from the music storage. Maybe the storage is perfect but your transmission up and/or down is messed up. That's where encrypting the work comes in handy (ZIP). Less likely to b...

Re: Recording what my headphones hear / fully digital captur

I can't always follow the postings. As I think you said, connecting two outputs to each other can cause some serious electrical problems and is not recommended. As far as I can tell, easy transfer of files between iPhone/iPod and a computer is required to go through iTunes. This isn't terribly awkwa...

Re: Audacity raises pitch of mic recording

When I record using a mic Which microphone and how is it connected to the computer? Which Audacity are you using? I'm using 2.2.1 soon to update to 2.2.2 to solve a serious export issue. Scan down this list of symptoms and see if any of that helps. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_recording_t...

Re: Recording what my headphones hear / fully digital captur

A note. There are some machines with 1/8" sockets for both S/PDIF and analog services. If you didn't start out with S/PDIF, the machine switches to analog automatically and what you're really doing is using the crappy digitizer inside the computer to encode your work. So that may give you hiss,...

Re: Recording what my headphones hear / fully digital captur

Sony/Philips Digital Interface Format. S/PDIF It's a digital transmission standard and works when you connect two S/PDIF machines together. One of the S/PDIF variations is optical and I can look into the connectors on my Mac and see the red lights in there. Your 1/8" audio cable is analog, not ...

Re: Evening out volume

Normalization and Amplify are sisters and they both do the same thing. Globally turn the volume up and down. That's it. Once for the whole show. Normalization has the better name of the two. It just sounds cool. You should look into Chris's Compressor. Chris wrote a volume leveler so he could listen...

Re: Project data file vanished but project file remains

when I came back, the project file was still there but the project data folder had vanished It's possible to get that kind of error with a super protective virus protection program or system. Typically, they don't ask. If they see something that could be damaging, they just go for it and you never ...

Re: Project data file vanished but project file remains

This is a broadcast voice performance over several cities. I did the Los Angeles branch. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/JMASoundShoot-650.jpg The left-hand roughly 2/3 is me in Audacity, the right-hand third is the backup recorder. The other engineer grabbed pieces of it before I could take ...
