No clips on my recorded tracks, but many times I will compress a track, usually not too extreme, and I will check the box that lets you normalize to 0db and when that box is checked usually there is a very small area of clipping. Usually less than a second.

Would you mind one more? Am having trouble understanding the view clipping tool. It does not compensate for gain adjustment on the track faders right? What you see is at 0db on the faders?

Thanks for a responding. A few questions if you have the time. Why does the level get louder when more tracks are playing? Forgive my greenness with audio but I do not understand why more tracks playing would raise the output level. Is there a way to lower all tracks levels equally at the same time?...

I am in the process of mixing a project and I have noticed that my output meter clips when the full project or 10 or more tracks is playing but not when individual tracks are soloed. For example I have the bass drum track hitting just at 0 and it does not clip when I play the track solo. I will star...
