Ok i recorded myself playing guitar and singing a song i made up...How do i make it sound more clearer? it has a shhhh sound to it...Plz plz plz answer....also if u have any other tips that would help me on recording a song then please tell me.

So I connect my head set to my laptop and hit the record button. I start saying something and I listen for the playback and all I hear is some loud static. I remove the microphone jack of the head set from the laptop and try it again, so there is no way my voice could be recorded, and find that yet ...

Do you need to download something to or can you just use Audacity?

I have audacity on my Macintosh computer. I put a couple of cd's on my computer and tried to put a song into audacity, I can import it or open it as a file but when I hit play it just makes this click noise and that's it. it shows audio waveforms but it doesn't play. can anyone help me?
