I just started using Audacity, and also need to use software playthrough before and during recording. It only lasts 1-3 seconds before freezing. BTW, if I "Start Monitoring", it does the same thing, freezes quickly. I am recording a turntable thru a USB input. Ubuntu 10.04, Audacity 1.3.12 Beta. Out...
