Why must I have to disable ALL VST plug-ins if I only want Audacity to not scan for WAVES VST plug-ins every time? In my case, I do not want any Waves plug-ins to appear in Audacity, though I DO want other VST plugins to appear. So I removed the Waveshell VST and VST3 from all Library plug-ins folde...

Nah...don't even have to do that. Just unchecking "VST" and "AudioUnits" in the Effects tab of the Preferences did the trick. And yes, it's just Waves. Unfortunately that means I can't use those excellent effects with Audacity, but the price of this software is good enough reason to not expect "all ...

My Waves effects are installed where the installer puts them...in Applications/Waves. The Waveshells are in a folder within that folder.

OK...The DVD Player and Quicktime work just fine, but I can't get Audacity to work. :D Seriously...I do not have any problems getting other audio through the Digi 001 when I need it. I go to the Sound System Preference, select "Digidesign 001". Then, the Digi Core Audio pops open, and I'm good to go...
