Equivalent of "Wave" Input setting in Audacity for Mac
WHen I had Audacity 1.2.6 on my Dell computer, there was an input setting for "Wave" that allowed me to record whatever was coming out of my computers speakers (without using a built in mic). Crossfading?
I'm recording voiceovers in Audacity on an iMac. To eliminate breath and mouth noises, I'd like to splice in some background noise, and then crossfade the edges. is there a way to do this (or something with the equivalent effect in Audacity 1.3 for the Mac)?

Using the Snap To function
How do I set the "Snap To" setting so I can only select in increments of 0.05 seconds? Down at the bottom of my window, I see a check box for "Snap To", but it appears this is only for selecting a specific region based on a starting and stopping time index. Can anyone help?
