This is all just too confusing. All I wanted to do was transfer all of these christian teaching tapes I have to mp3s. But now it looks like I'm just going to have to forget it and throw them all away. This was a complete waste of my mother's money, and I'm livid. goodbye.

I had the same problems you had, and I followed all the instructions in this forum, but nothing is working. I really need help.

It may help to reset your Audacity Preferences. I may have a false memory about this but IIRC there is a setting in Preferences which tells Audacity that it is running.
