Koz, The 'normalize' effect does straighten things out. But every time I start a new track, the signal line goes below the center line. It used to be that was the default position was for the signal line and the vertical center line to line up, now it's not. Any idea how I get back to the original d...

I'm new to screen shots. OK, looks like it worked. I hope you can see how the midpoint of the track is below the center of the vertical scale. I'm having trouble aligning the center of the vertical scale with the center of the track. Doesn't matter if it's a mic or a guitar, the center of the track is slightly lower than the center of the scale. The lower half of the signal has more dark blue than does the top. Well, no reply yet, so I tried doing a search on this forum. For the words click track I am told the words are "too common" and so are being ignored. That's alot of help isn't it! When I tried them as one word, the search function returned nothing at all. Hmmmm.

I don't know what else to do.
