Re: Can't record
Have to admit I do not know/understand your Sibelius, Kontankt, Fast Track etc ... It appears to me that (if I am allowed to put it rather silly way) if you want to record from It Fast Track In 1/2 and your signal appears on It Fast Track Out 1/2, you should connect them by an external cable. In oth...

And I still dont know, If I have a bug report (not necessarily personal problem) what should I do (if anything)? Tried three or four serious attempts different way and still not sure about the right-one. (The first one was _certainly_ wrong: got auto-answer "will get posted to the list, or you will ...

Forum software generally Re: Attachments
Thanks, I missed the error message somehow. And aha, they are not attachments it the general sense, only graphics files to enhance the posting, no nyquist scripts etc. Generaly I have to say I needed 5 or 10 hours before getting general understanding of the forum interface (from the point of viewing...

Re: Easy way to concatenate a bunch of audio files?
There is a way how to save disk IO and disk space: flac -d -c --force-raw-format --endian=big --sign=signed someprefix*.flac |tee tmpx | flac --force-raw-format --endian=big --sign=signed --channels 2 --bps 16 --sample-rate 44100 - > outputfile.flac (I hope everything is 16bit 44100Hz. Check with me...
Re: Recording
If your second recording is shifted in time, I think you need Latency Corection. This is aviable in beta version (currently 1.3.5.), Edit>Preferences. I recommend the beta version. The stability now is I think comparable or even better. You can have installed both versions, just note you can run onl...

Re: multiple wav files out of sync
So I understand battery=drums=the single imported file. I gues your latency settings (Let us denote it Lat) is "almost a beat". Thats good. Since the playback is late relative to recording, Audacity moves the recorded track left in time. You can see little arrows on recorded track that inform you ab...

Re: multiple wav files out of sync
If you save an Audacity project, and reopen it, it stil plays in sync, does it? Did your track records start right from time zero? If you plan to export Waws and reimport again (what is the purpose of this?), make sure you always press |<< (Jump to start) Button before the Record button. Or write do...

Re: Matching EQ
I suspect given that you are writing for a free software program, that the poster doesn't have access to the original live recording or any information about the performance. (And why should he? Did not ask to match anythign to original, just to tracks one to the other.) Also given the cost of the ...
