Re: Scheduling an audio recording

It is possible to set up Audacity to do a single scheduled recording, but a) you need Audacity 1.3.x and b) It does not automatically save or Export the file - you have to do that manually, so it is not suitable for repeated scheduling. Aha, I could not find the command in menu. I see it is Tracks ...

Re: Scheduling an audio recording

There are serveral ways, all of them are *near* future, I think. Check the nearest beta (1.3.6) and then stable (1.4.) versions. The ways - recording schedule {{update: aviable - see Steve's post above}} (Good that you mention automatical Saving of the material, yes, this is a *must* for most task l...

Re: Input of all channels from a mixer individually to Audac

I think you want to record live or in your studio, with separate track for each instrument. Depending on type of your mixer, you have a line out for each intrument. If not, you could use inserts (connecting ring and sleeve). You can group outputs, too. On the side of the computer - how many inputs d...

Yes this is (Serious) bug (Split New)

2. "Split New", if there is no selection, should not create an empty track,.... There does indeed seem to be a bug with the "Split New" function. Thanks for confirmation. I finally found checklists for second time (and carefully bookmarked to my homepage!). "Split new" is there already but without ...

bug Re: cursor bug in label selection code

Yes, and I consider it to be a (minor) bug (that hopefully does restrict functionality) I reproduced that in 1.3.5.unicode on Windows XP. I combine jrl's report with my experience: When I select the a label, preferably a wider one, (by selecting its label string display field), the labeled part of t...

I want to do is listen to the selection, I can't use the space shortcut. That's not
the bug, though, as I said I'm OK with it.
