If all you need from Autotalent an GSnap is auto tuning you can try x42 Auto Tune
https://x42-plugins.com/x42/x42-autotune
It loads into Audacity. Doesn't have the nice GUI, but the options are quite easy to understand and use:

Adding GSnap / Autotalent plug-in
Hi there, I use Ubuntu 16.04 and have Audacity 2.3.3 installed. Now I want to add the plug-ins mentioned in the title but don't know how. What I tried so far: Copying the .so files into the plug-ins folder of audacity-minsrc-2.3.3 and creating a plug-ins folder in usr/bin and copying it there becaus...

Re: Double Tracking Vocal Ideas (during recording or after)
I have had good luck with the following steps:
1.) Record vocal in mono
2.) Duplicate the track
3.) Apply auto tuner (I used autotalent) to the duplicate
4.) Apply small room type of reverb to the duplicate
5.) Pan one copy left and the other to the right

Downloaded plug-ins not working
... installer unless I drag them in even then a error pops up saying its an unsupported file type. I originally was trying to download gsnap and autotalent but neither work nor any other downloaded plug in so far. If someone could help me find where I went wrong they'd be the dopest person alive.

Re: Question about controls in Autotalent plug-in
Thanks for your kind response. The so-called manual seems aimed at people who don't need a manual as little info is provided about the controls. I will try Graillon or GSnap.

I don't use Autotalent myself, but the "manual" for Autotalent is here: http://www.tombaran.info/autotalent.html

Question about controls in Autotalent plug-in
I'm playing with the "AutoTalent" (v0.2) pitch correction plug-in that works in Audacity but am unsure of what the "Tune" and "Glide" controls do. The effect of the rest of the settings is readily noticeable. I hear a subtle difference ...

Re: Turn a vowel into another
To alter a vowel, you need to install a "formant" plug-in for Audacity, like Rovee or Autotalent. See also the free but excellent "Tunefish4" synth that lets you shape sounds. Buena Suerte!

Two free plugins which can do that in Audacity (on windows) are Rovee , Autotalent.
