Dear Steve, your hint worked perfectly. After I deleted the config file, Audacity Beta is again ok.

The 3.1.5 beta version works partially (on windows xp) I installed the new released version (beta) of Audacity. The installation didn't get any problems but when I launch the program it immediately iconize and nothing else happens neither it is possible to de-iconize the programme to start working....
