Re: Blind user asks for help with tracks' editing
Ok, thanks a lot. It's something I think it should be implemented in stable versions as well. But it is only my opinion.

Re: Blind user asks for help with tracks' editing
Thanks again. And do you know if it's possible to listen a preview of the sound when you select something before cutting it, i.e. listening to the sound as if it has been cut but before cutting it really?

Re: Blind user asks for help with tracks' editing
Hey Gale, you're right. I can do what I wish by using shift + a. I know how to change the key bindings' preferences. However, once I press shift + a and set the cursor, how can I move it slightly backwards or forwards. If I press shift plus left arrow I simply unselect everything and get an error me...

Re: Blind user asks for help with tracks' editing
P.S. As far as my suggestion is concerned, it would be a good idea, maybe, to give users both choices (to leave things as they are now or to choose this alternative way of selecting). What do you think about it?

Re: Blind user asks for help with tracks' editing
Hi all, so far I could just log in into the wiki page and change my password. However, I started a discussion on an Italian mailing list to explain to Italian blind people how I used audacity and how I've learnt a lot of things thanks to your help. I wrote a post explaining all the functions I've le...

Re: Blind user asks for help with tracks' editing
Hey guys, here I am again with another question: I saw in the effects menu that there is a function which I don't know how is it called in English, something like noise reduction or noisegate. Is it accessible via keyboard and how can I reduce the noise in an audioclip? Other than that, Gale could y...

Re: Blind user asks for help with tracks' editing
Hi all, 1) I don't know if I am able to contribute to the wiki. I found the guide on using audacity with jaws is very well-done and I'm using audacity for a very specific purpose, i.e. radio reports. I'm not an expert in sound editing, rather than that. But, if you think I can help someway, you can ...

Re: Blind user asks for help with tracks' editing
Hi Steve, to record I used an Olympus digital recorder (ds-50) which has menues that are mostly vocalized. I recorded the background noises and I mixed them with the interviews, which I did in a quiet room. You're right about the beginning, I should have done kind of a cross-fade or something like t...
