Well the only other thing I have plugged into USB is my mouse. I tried plugging the headset into a USB port as far away form it, no luck.

Am I just out of luck? Should I just get a stereo headset?

Alright. So to be clear, this is definitely a USB mic issue? If these do not work do you think it is a driver problem? I guess I could just get a stereo mic but since I already have the USB one I was hoping to avoid it.

Hello, I recorded some voice work in audacity with a headset mic. After recording with my mic I listened to the files in Audacity and around two different spots the audio turns into this buzzing and distorted version of what I was saying. I can still hear myself speaking but it is heavily distorted....
