Re: Import WAV problem
So, how do I make my file sound like this? Is there a way to uncompress it? Probably your best bet is the free format converter "SUPER" (by erightsoft). Downloading SUPER is a link jungle, but worth the effort as it can convert most media formats. As the file appears to be a WAV file (but obviously...

Re: Import WAV problem
I'll try that, thanks!
I'll post here if I have any more problems (I'm okay with technology, but not super... but you probably figured that out).

Download either LRMonoPhase or Piano2 from here and open them in Audacity. http://www.kozco.com/tech/soundtests.html Do they soun...

WAV file makes weird noise when imported
I've just gotten audacity, and I'm a bit confused. I have a WAV file that I've tried to import into audacity, but when I import the file, it just makes this weird squeaky noise, like a tape recorder being rewound. I downloaded the off vocal off of my ipod, using a download app, but it is definatly a...

Re: Import WAV problem
I'm having the same problem! Except your solution doesn't work. The file is DEFINATLY a wav file, I've checked and checked. The settings are set to "read directly from the original file," but when I import it, all I get is a weird squeaky noise! It's really aggrivating! Does anyone know what I can d...
