Re: Audacity 3.0 fiile association bug (.WAV, Win10.)

I mean Audacity CAN open .WAVs, so why can't you associate .WAVs WITH it? I only looks like you can "Open" WAV files (and other adudio files) in Audacity ... BUT what is actually happening is that Audacity is Opening a project and then Importing the audio file into that project - and when it import...

Re: Issue with Save Project menu of Windows version 3.0.2

Maybe what you really need is a permanently shown visual cue that shows the "clean"/"dirty" state of the project - but that would a) be an enhancement request - and b) many folk would likely regard it as unnecessary clutter in the GUI. Re: How Can I Convert WAV to MP3

1) Import it into Audacity with File > Import - or drag&drop the file into an open Audacity project window 2) Export it as MP3 with File > Export >Export as MP3 The Audacity Manual has very useful instructions on all this: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/importing_audio.html https://manual.audac...

Re: Protect a track from accidental changes?

You're right there is no track locking - and I can see that that might be a useful feature. What I would do would be - when my project is in a known good state, before embarking on experimental edits with filters I would backup a copy of my project that I could reverto to. Re: I say goodbye

buanzo, I, like millions of others have never met or communicated with you, yet your dedication and selfless work with the Audacity project, has helped us all in countless ways. Hi Paul2, I'm lucky - I'm one of the few Audacitizens that's met Buanzo - twice in fact - he's a great guy. We held to Au...
