Re: Audacity and Skype
Hi Steve and Koz, I looked up Pamela, and it says the recorder is about 20 dollars. I'll get it, if you think it works well for recording 1to 2 hours. Someone also suggested using the recorder on Word2007 with the notes app. Also garageband. Any comments on those? You asked about the last project: I...

backing up project
Hello,
Since I have to export a project in order to save it to a CD, how do I back up a project?
It is saved on my hard drive, but what if my computer were to crash . . . it is a few years old.
Thank you.

Re: Burned CD from audio project
Thanks for the tip. I did have a CD-R (music CD) versus a CD-RW (data CD).
I am not sure why it didn't work, but when I exported it as an mp3, it played on my CD player.
Thanks.

Re: creating labels
O well, I opened a new project, and all of a sudden, I can see the label track.
Was the problem, perhaps, that I had too many tracks already crammed into the screen, and that's why I couldn't see the label track?

Re: creating labels
Hi Bill, Thanks for the reply. Maybe I am just not seeing it - but nothing on the screen changes when I click on "Add label." You said "a label is inserted into the label track, ready for input" but I simply don't see any label track. I don't see anything change at all. When I start typing, I do not...

creating labels
Hi, I hit play on a track, then I go to "Project" and select "Add label at playback position." My assumption is that something like a text box would appear, where I can write in the name of the track. But this doesn't happen. I don't see anything. I am missing a step. What is it? Thank you for your ...

Burned CD from audio project
I exported an Audacity file as a .wav file. Then I burned the .wav file onto a CD. (This is the first time I have tried this - I'm trying to figure all this out). Unfortunately, the CD does not play in my car. It plays back on my computer. I am wondering, is there something I did wrong in Audacity, ...

iTunes to .wav
Hello,
Can you convert a song in iTunes to a .wav file?
Also, how do you do this?; "extract the audio from the CD to a WAV" (from the tutorial)
Thank you for your help.
