wow so all this time I have been trying to convert something that was already recorded at correct speed.

Converting LP's (78), speed problem
OK i followed all directions i think. loaded audacity.recorded, hit stop, hit select all and then went to effects and changed speed to 78. I have done this 30 times and it is not converting file. I am at a loss. I have windows xp pro,antivirus off. tried everything. can someone enlighten me in Noobi...
