Thanks stevethefiddle but I have now lost the file I was working on! if I ever find it again I shall let you know how I got on.

I have a cassette tape that had recorded an LP. Silence Finder is not finding the tracks. I suspect it's because there's quite a bit of "LP crackle" that's being picked up as noise.
