I have a cassette tape that had recorded an LP. Silence Finder is not finding the tracks. I suspect it's because there's quite a bit of "LP crackle" that's being picked up as noise. I tried raising the decibel setting a bit, but that didn't work. Any suggestions? I didn't see this issue in the foru...

Peter - My turntable connects to a USB port via an Ion USB Recorder which does contain a pre-amp. I used Edit - Preferences - Audio I/O to select input and output (as the input selection was greyed out in the meter toolbar) but in addition to the input/output options I was recommended to use I also ...

I am using Audacity 1.2.6 with an Ion USB Recorder and Windows XP.
