Re: Why isn't the sample rate what it should be???

the L/R faders no longer seem to make any difference. Is theis because I've changed the sample rate? I'm not sure exactly what you mean - the sample rate should not affect the functioning of the Left/Right track sliders. Can you give me a step-by-step example of how I can reproduce this problem? I ...

Re: Why isn't the sample rate what it should be???

Set the Project Rate (lower left corner of the main Audacity window) to 44100 before you export. Export in WAV format. Is there any requirement for mono/stereo? Actually, now you ask the question about mono/stereo, the L/R faders no longer seem to make any difference. Is theis because I've changed ...

Why isn't the sample rate what it should be???

I have been trying to upload a song to bandcamp, who insist on an uncompressed file at a minimum of 44.1kHz. I checked in audacity/preferences that that's what the sample rate was before I exported it as a wav file, but it won't upload because bandcamp tell me the file is only 22.05. :? Why is this ...

Re: Input device settings/project sample rate??

Ho hum. Well thanks for all your sterling efforts. :D Actually, I have a cunning plan anyway. I have a splitter cable which I usually use to plug my wireless headphones and speakers simultaneously - I can use that to split the signal from the rock frog to my earphones and the line in on my mp3 playe...

Re: Input device settings/project sample rate??

Haven't got round to checking the turntable yet (although I've not had problems before) but will do so. Did try the rest though, without much success :( Is this a good time to mention I'm using Vista? :? 5) Tick the box that says "use selected devices only" (or something like that) There isn'...

Re: Input device settings/project sample rate??

Try disconnecting all USB devices, and shut down the computer. Connect your microphone to the computer and reboot. Open Audacity and see if you can get it to record from the microphone - (do you know your way round the Windows Mixer?) Look up the "Device Info" again from the Audacity help menu and ...

Re: Input device settings/project sample rate??

Thanks Microsoft - but it's not working is it. Let's see if we can get something to work. Do you have an ordinary computer microphone, or anything else that you can use for a test recording (such as a walkman and a suitable lead)? By the way, is this a Laptop computer? No it's a desktop pc. I have ...

Re: Input device settings/project sample rate??

Are you able to record from any input with any software? For example, can you record from the Realtek (on-board?) sound card with Windows Sound Recorder? No. It says "an audio recording device could not be found" sound/recording tab shows: Microphone 2-rock frog Working Microphone Realtek High Defi...
