Hi , I have a recording of a talk i did a few years back and i wish to edit some page numbers mentioned on the cd that have changed. The original recording was recorded by a different recording device that i now have will this make a difference? i know i need to record the words of the new pages and...

Making tracks on a cd
HI i am a little confused with the terminology, of tracks . i have a recording of 55 minutes of a talk and i want to create tracks like on a cd so people can jump to certain spots with out having to listen to the whole cd. Is this possible with Audacity? and if so what do i need to do? thank you so ...

Thanks guys, did what you suggested and changed to 16 bit and the file is now 380 mb so it should fit.
this whole thing is a lot more detailed than i originally realised but i am really grateful for all of your contributions on this forum.

i have since found out that most CDs are now MP3 so it seems like it is a non issue.

increased size of wav file after editing
HI, i started out with a wave file of 436mb imported it and after a lot of editing exported it back into a wave file. this time the wave file is 763 mb which is too big now to fit on a CD. why after deleteing parts is the file now so big and what can i do ? Should i have exported it differently or n...

I am not able to import WMA files. a 60 minute talk it comes in as a 30 sec white noise.
i also can't seem to import wav files either. Yes i also tried the import raw data. result was the same.
any suggestions?
