Re: Audio missing after file was saved

That step right there. You mean you Exported a WAV backup and then Saved a Project? Then you opened up the Project and everything seemed to be there and in good order? Correct on those fronts, all of that is what I did. Did you move the project to another directory or worse, another computer? You h...

Audio missing after file was saved

Recorded no problem. Exported as wav, as is standard. Didn't listen to it (this is my fault, I'm aware). Saved file. Opened today, it was fine. I edit this file, no problem. I save to come back later. When I come back, chunks are missing in the middle of the podcast, then an hour is gone completely....

All I need to do is just convert the .au files to .wav

And I can't find a program that will actually do it except some $50 program. I'm not really wanting to pay it (because as a young american I am very poor) I just need to convert, I've used Ubuntu's SoundKonverter and Soundconvert, I can't figure out Sox because there seems to be no bother in walking...

Re: Audacity saved files not numbered like most, can't compi

ok so, I have all my files in done directory and also in their original place. On the crash recovery page that I have tried everything on, I see a perl script to run with Sox to compile them all. Is this something I can do, I have zero experience with these programs, does anyone else?

Re: Audacity saved files not numbered like most, can't compi

Thanks for helping guys, I appreciate it. The main issue I'm having is this though, the AUP is broken, all the files are saved in a folder from the previous save. The AUP file has no gui, so I can't see or string together anything, We have 4 hours or recording, its all there, I'm just avoiding doing...

Re: Audacity saved files not numbered like most, can't compi

Sorry to keep "spamming" here but I keep getting info to share. While trying recovery through WINE, I got this as the error log. Can anyone explain? Traceback (most recent call last): File "audacity_recovery.py", line 157, in ? File "audacity_recovery.py", line 92, in MainLoop ValueError: invalid li...

Re: Audacity saved files not numbered like most, can't compi

Ok, so I've renamed everything, but I now can't get any recovery utility to work on ubuntu. can someone give me a step by step instruction page on how to install recovery in utility, I have so many errors I think I'm missing something. Any help would be massively appreciated!

Audacity saved files not numbered like most, can't compile

These are what my files look like. I'm running ubuntu 10.04, audacity 1.3. I saved the session, like i should. Then when I opened it, it gave an error saying "nothing in file" so I still have all the separated files. I have to post this episode tonight, and have no way of getting the files. Audacity...
