Re: backing up a step--just discovered the mixer board
happy to explain: 1. recording a guitar track. Done. 2. play the guitar track while singing along. done. 3. going to the mixer to get the levels right between guitar and vocal tracks. Re: getting ready to burn a cd
Thanks for all the suggestions! I have done a non-professional burn of one test song so far using Windows MP. The quality turned out quite good, maybe lost a tiny bit of range, but really minute. It can rip too, they say. Anyway, will look into these other suggested programs. Appreciate the help!

Well I was about to go ahead with burning a cd but I just discovered the mixer board! After I find the mix I like, how do I capture it permanently? Sorry to be such a total Newbie! I am fine with both stereo channels being the same for the purpose of this recording. Thanks!

getting ready to burn a cd
okay, on to the next phase. Could someone direct me to how to prepare my .aup file to burn to a CD? Anything I should know? Reading the manual suggest using a .wav file so I shall attempt to do that. Does anyone think it is better to convert to MP3 and then burn? I have Windows Media Player on my co...

okay, sorry. I just thanked the person over in 1.2 but will stay with Beta from now on if that is going to be better for my needs. I will go back over to 1.2 and explain why I am leaving that subforum.

Re: Newbie-my data files for one song are in separate files
Thank you waxycylinder! That was fast! I see the .aup file and it is all connected! I also posted over in 1.3 Beta because I am happy to work in either format. Does anyone have an opinion on which is better for overdubbing, 1.2 or 1.3? I am going to be mixing two tracks, solo vocal and guitar. I alr...
